Food & Beverage Supervisor
Job description:
We currently have a vacancy for a strong, Food & Beverage Supervisor to join the team in The Ashdown Park Hotel.
This role will require flexibility to work in various outlets within the hotel but who's main focus will be the services and team in The Ivy Bar.
The ideal candidate will be very experienced in front of house in restaurants and unfazed by very busy services.
Role Purpose: To assist the Manager in the operations of the Ashdown Park Hotel.
Key skills:
• Previous experience working in F&B service essential, team lead or supervisory experience required
• Strong people management skills and ability to get buy-in from a large team

Key Responsibilities:
• To assist, motivate & lead the team, ensuring all aspects of tasks are being carried to the highest standard.
• In the absence of the Manager to ensure the team are supported and organised, and all tasks to be actioned are looked after in an efficient and timely manner.
• Resolve any issues that may arise, such as customer complaints or internal issues with the team.
• Motivate and encourage the team
• To train all new and existing staff members on duties such as, Opening, Closing, Menu, Floor training, Standards, Operation
• Resolve any issues that may arise including staff issues such as cover for sick staff members.
• Provide training & support to the team

Chef de Partie
The Candidate:
Chef qualification/2-3 years Chef De Partie experience essential
Must have a passion for cooking and be very creative
Ability to produce dishes to a consistently high standard
HACCP trained and hold an up to date certificate
Knowledge of ordering, stock control and waste management
Flexible to meet business needs
Fluent English is required (Written and Oral)
Main Responsibilities:
Ensure that all service within the kitchen is performed to the highest standard
Ensure that all stock is kept under optimum conditions
Help develop and introduce new menus and recipes
Ensure that all mis-en-place is always freshly prepared and on time
Attend training and development as required
Assist the Head Chef to ensure Health & Safety is maintained on a daily basis
Waste management
The ideal candidate must have strong communication skills.
This role will involve midweek and weekend shifts, a mix of day time and night time hours is required. Flexibility in working hours is therefore essential.

Experience we are looking for
• To have worked in a hotel or accommodation services business.
• To be able to work independently, being self motivated to complete the tasks.
• Flexibility- to enjoy working night shifts, seeing the operation on different days of the week including the weekends.
• Follow hygiene and cleanliness standards to ensure the Hotel is kept clean and tidy.
The Job
• To clean public areas- reception, bar, restaurant and toilets, and back of house areas, employee restaurant and changing rooms ensuring they meet the hotel standards.
• To set up conference and function rooms following the instructions and standards on the conference booking sheet.
• Have a visible presence within the hotel to ensure that all customers request and queries are responded to promptly and effectively.
• To provide room service efficiently and professionally
• Deal with guest queries and complaints in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
• Conduct floor walks to ensure guest security.

We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous bartending experience in Ireland, be confident behind the bar, and have enthusiasm towards guest and colleagues.
