TASTE OF WEXFORD FARMERS MARKET, Wexford Food by Wexford Producers
The Ashdown Park Hotel in Gorey is starting a monthly farmers market, the 2nd Sunday of each month from April 9th 2017 called Taste Of Wexford Farmers Market.
The hotel has its own (Redmond) Farm which produces Bord Bia Origin Green award winning beef alongside vegetables, herbs and salads for the hotels kitchens.
Understanding the importance food can play, its Provence and quality the concept for the Taste of Wexford Farmers market was born. The Taste of Wexford Farmers Market is Wexford food by Wexford Producers. We have listed up to 15 excellent artisan products, many of which are award winning, all of which are produced locally to the hotel and in the county of Wexford.
The aim is the listed producers participating have excellent quality products made inWexford, many of those chosen are award winning and those suitable will feature on the Taste of Wexford menu in the Rowan Tree restaurant within the Ashdown Park Hotel.
Producers participating include O’Neills, Isle of Crackers, Wild About, Kingdom Bakery, Bean and Goose, Bramble Bakes, Naturally Coridall, Hugs Chocolates and Kearns Fruit Farm to name a few!
Alongside the central theme is the markets aim to help place North Wexford on the map as a food destination and to establish a strong food platform in North Wexford.
The first Taste of Wexford Farmers Market of 2017 takes place on Sunday 09th of April at 10am to 4pm at the Ashdown Park Hotel, Gorey. The market will then run every 2nd Sunday
monthly until October.
