1. Check the Car.
Nobody wants to be stranded – especially with young children so make sure to check the following: Oil, Water, Screen Wash & Tyre Pressure as a bare minimum and if possible have the car serviced prior to taking your trip.
2. Make a List.
Arriving in your chosen destination without a favourite toy (or worse, essentials like nappies) can be a nightmare with young children. So be prepared and make a list of everything you will need and don’t forget to check it carefully
Make sure you choose a location that is close to everything you will need to make the most of your time together such as beaches, amenities and local attractions. Here at the Ashdown Park Hotel we are only 9 minutes from the beach and many great family attractions such as Pirates Cove, Kia Ora Mini Farm & Wells House plus many more, most of whom we have discounts with for our visitors.
4. Dining Out.
Do a little research on where you would like to eat, make sure they have a good children’s menu and if possible book ahead to avoid disappointment. Most hotels will have excellent children’s options onsite but if you are heading out, nothing is worse that traipsing door to door trying to find somewhere with space that will also cater to the youngest members of your party. You can view the Ashdown Park Children’s Sample Menu Here.
5. Kids Club.
The best holiday memories are of the people you meet and the fun times you share. This is never more true than with children. Most hotels will now offer a quality kids club where your little ones can meet the other children staying in the hotel for some fun and games and will probably meet up again later to carry on the fun with their new friends. Our own kids club is well known for being a great place to have fun and meet new friends. Cal 0539480500 or email email@example.com for more information.
