Wonderful Break June 2016
The staff especially Mark, Deirdre and Katie was very very nice. My husband told them we were celebrating 30 years of marriage and they pulled out the stops for us. Food was hot and amazing. Nice location to the town with plenty of chic boutiques. If I had one bad thing to say was that we didn’t stay long enough.

Enjoyable one-night stay! June 2016
We stayed here for one night on a trip to Wexford to collect our new puppy in nearby Camolin. The reception staff made us very welcome and were very helpful. The bedroom was clean and comfortable and had all the expected facilities for a hotel of this rating. We had a superb evening meal in the hotel restaurant with pleasant views over the little paved area outside with it’s colourful selection of plants. Good car parking.

Excellent Hotel! June 2016
Loved it here, only here for one night but will definitely come back. Room was large with a king bed and a single. Great wifi in the room along with all the usual you would expect in a hotel of this rating. I never tried the bar or the leisure suite. I did walk into the town which is about a 5min walk. There’s loads of traditional Irish bars and restaurants there. Breakfast was lovely, attentive staff and well presented food. So much choice it was hard to stop eating.

Spring break May 2016
Arrived Sunday evening for 2 nights. Pleasant staff on reception. Nice clean rooms with adequate facilities and most important a comfy bed. Good facilities in the gym and pool area and had a nice massage from pleasant and efficient Linda like all the staff in that area. The gym and pool are open to public members and I m sure it can be crowded at weekends. Buffet breakfast was very good with all tastes catered for by pleasant staff. We had dinner on monday evening and it was surprisingly busy but the staff were coping fine. We had goats cheese and beetroot starter which was very good. I had the local beef which was also very good. My partner, unfortunately broke the cardinal rule ‘ Never order fish on a Monday’ and paid dearly for it. Her Cod fillet was something Captain Birdseye would even be ashamed of, not fresh, overcooked and with a horrible salty orange coating. It definitely was the worst presentation of Cod I have ever seen in a hotel and whoever sent that out has no pride in his/her profession. Our wine was served by a senior male member of staff and he sloshed it into our glasses without asking us to taste it first. The house wine was fine but he left a bad taste but not quite as bad as the cod. Apart from dinner it was a nice place to stay, with the sea nearby and the weather sunny.

Delightful May 2016
Weekend away with hubby and 3 other couples. Foyer is very impressive and that set the tone for the stay. Check in was swift, efficient and the receptionist very polite and welcoming. Room was clean, fresh and all facilities available. Loved the complimentary ginger stem biscuits and bottles of water were much appreciated. We all ate in the bar that night and the food was fantastic. One of our party, a steak “expert” said it was one of the best he had eaten. There was some entertainment in the bar that night so we just didn’t leave. Next morning hubby and I had a swim and it was lovely. Breakfast is exemplary. Variety, fresh products, plentiful, relaxed – the trip was worth it for just that. All in all a very pleasant, well located hotel. We had only one big gripe – it was a busy weekend with communion and wedding but the noise levels at night were disappointing. Maybe it was our room location but the noise at the front entrance lasted well into the night. The second night was worse as the corridors were noisey – while the hotel has to accept some responsibility, it is up to guests and their children to respect that others do want to sleep at 3am or 4am or indeed 6am. We did comment to the hotel on check out and I feel they will keep this under review. Two other small comments, the pool didn’t open until 9am on a Sunday – maybe an earlier opening time would be good for guests and an information booklet in the room would be useful – that way we would have known the pool wasn’t available until 9am. All things considering, it will not prevent us from staying here again. A very enjoyable experience.

Really Enjoyable Stay May 2016
Lovely hotel within easy walking distance of Gorey town, (but do go by Aldi, not as we did all the way round the main road). Staff were marvellous and so friendly, especially the lovely lady who served tea and cakes. The rooms were really nice with a large double bed and a single ,. Wonderful swimming pool with sauna, jacuzzi and steam room and lovely warm water. Breakfasts were buffet style and filling. Food in the restaurant was reasonably priced. All round a really enjoyable stay.

Lots of fun May 2016
Just back from yet another Fab stay at the ashtown. The food was amazing as it always is. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Gorgeous big room with a lovely view over the town. Nice variety of shops there too and arklow shopping centre is only a short drive away. Weather was lovely so we made the most of the charming beer garden. Can’t wait to return. And a special thanks to Paul, mark, Stephen, Johnathan, Ryan and Denis. Love you guys.

Wonderful May 2016
I LOVE THIS PLACE! What a wonderful hotel from the sumptuous entrance to the cosy nooks where one can sit and read. I booked here to commence my holidays and am so delighted with my choice. Donna was so helpful when I made the reservation and very kindly upgraded us without charge. We arrived late in the evening with 5 minutes to go before the restaurant closed, but the bar manager physically ran upstairs to see if they could accommodate us in the lovely Rowan Room, and they did! And we enjoyed a most wonderful meal graciously served by Ryan and his lovely colleague. We were made feel welcome as the first guests of the night!
And our room was gorgeous! Well appointed, spacious, and very comfortable. Great bathroom and fast powerful shower. After a great nights sleep, we enjoyed a sumptuous buffet breakfast with a wonderful choice of freshly cooked and baked items, freshly squeezed citrus juices, and sweet little bite-sized pastries. We’ll be back! Such a wonderful experience for such a wonderful price. Thank you Donna! You made it special.
